Laws of physics are mathematical relations that are used to describe non-magical natural phenomena. The term is used mainly by Chevellan scientists and is not part of common parlance.
The same Chevellan scientists do recognize that magic exists in nature, and that magic does not fit within the framework of the laws of physics, i.e. magic breaks the laws of physics. However, these laws are still extremely useful understanding the natural world and for various engineering arts.
