What the hell are you doing, Jaana? You think the enemy is going to wait for you to get dressed? Come on, let's go!
- Knut to Jaana during the aquatic monster raid on The Providence, before rushing to fight the monsters in his underwear
He introduces himself as Knut, Jaana’s mentor.
Has a confident and rowdy personality, with a pinch of mischieveousness.
Very good at card games that require bluffing, but not at ones that require advanced math.
In the first 3 nights, he participated in some drinking games and had little difficulty winning them due to his bulk. As a result, he’s been banned from further drinking games. He still joins them anyway.
You’ve never seen him lose a training fight against Jaana.
He and Jaana are training for some kind of invite-only tournament in Eigo.
Seems to know Asakura.
Was let through without going through normal procedure during the contact information collection procedure in Jinhou after the officials saw a paper presented by Jaana.
Asked by Kaneko Nobu to participate in the tournament and win, to throw a wrench in the plans of some kind of dangerous conspiracy that would throw the nation of Eigo in chaos.
Had deep feelings for Asakura, despite their age difference (Asakura being three times his age).
Would have gone on a rampage over seeing Asakura’s dead body with the party around it, but was soon calmed down by Ricky
Was shaken by Asakura’s sudden and cruel death. Vowed to avenge her.
Due to the way Asakura and Kuroda were killed, he believes the police of Jinhou is compromised, and contacting them over the assassination and kidnapping would put their lives in danger.
Has been guarding Jaana for most of Jaana’s life.
Has a soft spot for Saki, as she is probably the closest thing Asakura has to a daughter.
He is guarding Jaana by the jarl of Jotunheim’s orders.
43 years old.
The only one who knows what really happened 20 years ago on the day that Jaana gained her voidtouched power. He discovered the unconscious siblings in the forest and pieced together that Jaana was the one that attacked Johan. Feeling pity for Jaana, Knut rearranged the scene to make it look like Jaana was simply defending her brother from a bear. He then rushed back to the town, carrying the siblings in his arms. Feeling responsible for her, he requested to become Jaana’s guardian afterwards. Because he was treated as a hero who saved the siblings, nobody objected to his request.
Stays behind in the Walled Garden to allow the party to escape on the back of transformed Jaana. He rushes to help the royal guards fight against the monsters emerging from the portals.
